Ok. We all know our job is serious. But there are some funny moments. Post them here.
This isn't to pick on anyone/any company. This is solely for those "D'oh" moments that have humor to them.

I know I have a list of moments in history... BUT, I'll start with my most recent...
Oh Dark and Ugly in the morning last week, arriving to a dwelling call... gave orders to Level 1 stage the assignment, but I couldn't spit out Springside Road, so I settled for Woodlane Road because it was the next closest street name my mind would comprehend. (I'm terrible when I first wake up) I think I sounded like I was having a CVA during my initial report.

Not really funny, but I miss Cliff Leary as 1000. Always knew it was him, even before identifiers. Mic would key then you would hear 10 seconds of the mic wire stretching across the car before "Central 1000."
I remember an old City battalion chief trying to tell "Five-Oh Battalion" (FDNY bleedover) to standby so he could understand what Central was trying to say. (uh duh)
Old F6... Burlington, Camden, Gloucester playing Trivia Persuit over the radio at 2am.
When the old "Care" units were affectionally refered to as "Scares"
One night when a past 1690 (god rest his soul) couldn't figure out what rig he was in, used all 4 rig numbers throughout the same call, and the dispatcher asked him to pull over, look at his fender, and tell us what it says. He replied "Ford."

This one is awhile ago and I don't believe the guy is running calls anymore. In district 25 the Lucky 7 fire...
Central 3701's arriving, I got a building fully involved, I'll be out investigating.
I remember hearing that on the Central tape at the critique because I was still a junior and couldn't go to the call.

Don't remember who said it but from the West area before the new radio system was in place...
Central ??, bad head in the bedroom, recall the assignment.
Someone keyed up and said too bad. And now we have identifiers and can't do that anymore.

A Chief just now on East Response 1, responding to an accident on Butler Place Road IAO Broken Arm Road (If I'm lying I'm dying) "Engine ? from Deputy ? Go down RT72 and make a right on... on... Whatchamacallit road ad continue on down..." Sad part is, I had to look the road up just to make sure it didn't really exist. It's like TBS... it's moderately funny, it's ok to laugh. Now not that much.

this was last year or late 2006 on rt 206. an ambulance was put in neutral and no parking break was applied so when they tried to load the patient the ambulance started to move. someone jumped in the drivers seat and applied the break. the patient wasnt hurt any further but still a funny moment

While on a wires call one afternoon, I suffered a debillitating brain fart transmitting to Central....the pole number was something like MO2314; not being THAT familiar with the phonetic stuff, I got stuck on what to use for "O" and told them "Oglethorpe"
They were kind enough not to laugh.....at least on the air.

The third guy to the right on the roof of the cab is 3102. I think the guy at the turn table controls is ..... We were at a Chinese restaurant fire on RT130 in D23 numerous years ago. The Chief went to take a look-see and asked me to listen up at the car. While on his walk, Division C call him to let him know the smoke coming from the "C" vent hole was increasing. I called him and let him know there was increased amount of smoke coming from the "A" hole. Not realizing initially what I said, Chief Green started his arm swinging, bent over at the waist laugh. I asked him what he was laughing about and he replied "do you know what you just said.......?"

We were at a job in D12. When at least 4 seen/ heards went down. 1. WebBoss on FAST/ Rescue 909 arrived as I was trying to remove a 30 foot ground ladder from the truck by myself. I yelled to him to give me a hand, he told me they were the FAST Team, I told him I didn't give an F if he was on the Fast, Slow, or Medium Team, just come help me with this ladder. 2. BIGDAWG and JOHNSON were up on the 3rd floor when part of the stairs fell away. They radioed Command with a PRIORITY message. Command told them to stand by and he called Central as to the status of the Ladies Auxiliary. They called him again and told him that they were trapped on the 3rd floor and needed a line. Command told them to come down and get it themselves. 3. 90 Truck (LOL) was able to access the rear of the house through and adjoining vacant lot and some fancy driving skills. They put to bucket to the roof, and then informed Command, "Bad news Chief, it's a Tin Roof." 4. I was in the partially attached exposure operating a line, helping to hold back the fire and I felt something him me in the helmet and bounce off. I turned my flashlight on and found that I had been hit in the head by a partially burnt and completely bald squirrel that had made a grave out of the ceiling above me.

Funny thing I heard on a channel. (Region name left out to protect the stupid)
"ABCD, switch to the Fire Police Channel."
"WXYZ, uh....how do I do that?"
Classic...I was dieing. That was just great to hear because I didn't think that person had REALLY said that.
I wanted to go on their channel and tell them to take the channel knob and search for it...so bad.

Too many years ago, working fire that happened to be around the corner from my house. Experienced a VERY strong "call of nature" that could not be denied and without informing anyone, quickly snuck home for a quick deposit. While in the midst of glorious relief, I received a radio call asking for my location. Maybe four or five really good answers immediately popped into my head, but being a newly minted LT, I thought discretion would be the better part of valor and answered: "Around the side", praying that the Captain who was calling me wasn't around the same side.
"OK...", he answered, "Meet me out front when you're finished"

While playing an away game in D10 at a Villiage of Burn Monthly , I was asked to take a crew and start pulling ceilings in a unit. Had the crew working and felt the call of nature. I walked back to the Bathroom and was relieving myself when a light swung around the corner and a surprised FF said, Christ Chief could you at least close the door next time!"

I dont care who you are, THATS DAMN FUNNY! Yeah, funny ha ha, glad I'm here for your amusement. This fire was early in the morning after we had a meeting the night before about FAST/RIT responses and the need to stick to being RIT and not freelancing. However, in retrospect, this was before it became accepted practice for the RIT crews to assist with such tasks as throwing ground ladders for access/egress and associated tasks. This fire was December 27 of either 2000 or 2001 if I remember correctly. It was long ago that Wylie III was 1200, well before becomming 2700.

my pops was 4606 and there was a pedestrian mva and the patient needed to be flown and it was after a rain storm so 90% of the lzs were out and they decided to put it in a parking lot of a restaurant. the owner(asian who barely spoke english) came out and saw them setting up and asked what was going on and was told. upon hearing this he started yelling, almost as a chant, YOU NO LAND HELCOPER HERE...it was then explained to him that THIS IS OUR FING PARKING LOT NOW...
