What's everyones take on this? I know a lot of people county wide want to see this implemented on the dispatches and others say otherwise.
I'd personally like to hear "time out, 2255" simply if let's say I leave work at 2200 and leave my pager in my car (like that EVER HAPPENS) and I see we had a call and it says dwelling time out 2155. That clues me in, "Duh, ok we just got hit for that I should head to the station."
Same for other people county wide. What's everyone elses take on it?

Seems like a waste. If you think you are missing something, drive to the firehouse, if the trucks are gone, then yup, you missed it.

I would personally rather hear a repeat of the stations being dispatched before the time out. When you don't have a repeater pager and you miss the first part of the dispatch, you may have no idea what is going on.

People don't listen to their damn pagers as it is. While I see your opinion in theory, as I stated before, I'll give you the time out when I can follow it with "KMG635." If there was to be a change in the dispatch, which I doubt will happen anytime soon, I would rather see the attention put to announcing the address first, as it is the most important piece of information. Secondly, announcing the companies in the order that they are due, not by the order of however the tones show up at central.

Shit, I'd be happy hearing Engines, then Ladders, and so on and so on. Anything besides the Hodge-Podge routine we sometimes get now.

stop saying apparatus at all, the the departments decide the response order, and just dispatch TF and the Grid #, then the location, the cross streets and then the incident type. Your dept should have procedures for what pieces go to what types of calls and when.

We spell out which Medics go where, and can't even get them to follow what they're told. The problem these days is very few people actually Pay Attention and Think when the pager goes off.

the ony thing that would be good is when they hit the all co in service tobe they say the time so it helps the ic know the time of the all co so he can give his or her updates every 20 min

Next time you run the NE or E and we get a run, if it's a weekday in the AM I'll most likely have the seat cause Im the only certified with I200. The rest are FFI but nothing more so I have to take the seat. I'll just say "Central Rescue Engine 2923 KMG365,Responding with 4 to the funny farm"

heres an idea, how about the county adopts map book, like the ones they sell in wawa(i forget the name of them but they are everywhere) and for any call that has outside towns responding in give out the page number and the grid number at the end of the dispatch. i know this would speed things up for us in the 31 going to willingboro and maple shade.

I don't think "time out" would be all that useful. It's really only helpful for those that 1) have repeaters, 2) forget their pager somewhere, 3) catch it quick enough to care. Most of the time you're going to check your pager, not hear the AllCos, and go back to work.. ]
If wishes were fishes, I'd like to have the stations repeated. Since our TF-tone is accidentally used instead of the Station-tones, sometimes the pagers will go off when the call isn't for us. If I miss the first 10 seconds of the dispatch I won't know.
I like the idea of stations being announced by geographic proximity. We do that now for our grids and it makes an automatic reduced-speed policy much easier.
