Quick update,
i went to the doctors today to get checked out. as of right now my return to work date will be the 21st of janurary as long as i improve by the 17th.
i also was told to stay off the pain meds...o well..lol

Dispatched for wire chatsworth road and Washington way. Quint 4314 responded with 4 due to 4311 being O.O.S. As we approached hillmans concrete about .5 of a mile from dispatched location the driver of quint 4314 slowed to approximately 35 to 40 mph to anticipated the wire. As we passed zimmer man road and approached Washington way the driver and officer noticed a small cable line hanging low and the driver was forced to hit the brakes hard(not slamming) so to avoid grabbing the wire and pulling it down. As the truck began to come to a stop there was a loud bang and the truck shook. As we exited the truck to see what had happened the crew noticed the the rear wheels of the truck had spun and come out about a foot past the sides of the truck. After inspecting the damage it was found the the studs had sheared off from the wheel continuing to spin as the truck tried to stop. We are all glad that this happened at such a low speed and not when the truck was making a turn or even worse the truck had to make an emergency stop because someone or something came out in front of the truck. I must say though now everyone wears there seat belt when they are in the truck. The truck has since been check and the MGF has given us the reason why they think it happened but who will ever no if it will happen again.
