Beverly 121 has ordered a new 75' Ladder Truck from Pierce, delivery slated for the 2nd week of August 2010.
Impel Chassis - 6 man cab 1500GPM Pump, 500 Water 115' Ladders 75' Steel Aerial
The rig spec'd to meet all NFPA definitions to be a Ladder. 121 primarily uses 1215 as a ladder, but adds basic engine company equipment so that it can run as a quint if thier engine is out of service or if they're already on the road and get another assignment. They don't typically use 1215 as a Quint in the way we're used to around this county.
The existing 1215 (1989 LTI) will be up for sale sometime soon.
While we're talking about 121, I was asked to pass along that they are in need of new members so if anyone would like to time share a little, it's not a bad place to look at.

This station can't properly staff this piece of apparatus, nor does it have a need for a ladder truck. On top of that they are using surplus taxpayer dollars to pay for a truck without taxpayer approval. This is the type of stuff that makes the taxpayers lose faith in the good work of the fire service.

Yes they need members Yes they have plenty of need for a ladder Yes they funded the rig through legal channels
No - Bashing any person or company on this site is needed or will it be tolerated. It was simply stated that there is a new truck on order. (609) 387-1478 if you want to argue about the details of the purchase.
