brotherhoodinstructors.sslpowered.com/brotherhoodinstructors.com/ClassFlyers/20090917WildwoodNJHandsOnForcibleEntry.pdfUPDATED flyer for the forcible entry class in Wildwood on Thursday Sept. 17, 2009 (the Thursday before the convention). The only thing that has changed is the registration information and the price. The class is now only $150. See the flyer for all the stuff you get to destroy for your money! EVERYONE gets to force their own inward swinging door on both the axe and halligan and an outward swinging door on both the axe and halligan. Everyone gets to cut and force several padlocks as well as cut other metal lock simulators. Their are hundreds of through the lock props to practice on as well. After the rotations you can force the door simulator until you are too tired to force any more. These are just a few examples! I just helped them teach a forcible entry class in a small rural town in Canada. In this small town we were able to find almost every type of lock or security device that can be found where I work in the Bronx. If these things exist in this small town they definitely exist in New Jersey. The Instructors are from all over the U.S. and one from Canada. They are all down to earth guys and Brotherhood Instructors prides themselves on "talking to you, not at you." All of the guys that they have on staff that work in big city Dept's came from smaller Dept's and understand how under staffed and over tasked fire Dept's operate. Take a look at the attached PDF flyer, the pictures in this email, and cmcfirechiefs.com for further info. Sign up quickly, class size is limited. Please forward this email to all of your fire service contacts!!! Especially anyone you forwarded the old flyer to. Listen BRO: this thread, this class, and this website is not about me! This class is being offered by Brotherhood Instructors through the Cape May County Fire Chiefs Assn. to try to improve fireman's weekend in Wildwood. If you don't have anything to add in a constructive manner please take your comments elsewhere.
The purpose of putting my previous and current fire dept's was to let everyone know who I am. I am very proud to be a member or previous member of the depts I listed. It is because of the previous depts that I am where I am now. Have a little PRIDE in your dept and take one of these classes or if you already know this stuff at least let other members of your dept know about these classes.
Brotherhood Instructors prides themselves on two things. First, they "talk to you, not at you." All of Brotherhood's instructors that now work for big city fire depts started in smaller fire depts very similar to those found throughout NJ. None of the instructors think they are better than anyone anywhere. Second, they did not make the stuff they teach up; all of the instructors learned this stuff somewhere too and are now passing along information.
If you don't like me for some reason then please at least take a look at the other two classes. The firefighter safety and survival and large area search classes I'm sure will also be very good.
Finally, yes there is still room and its Wildwood, not Wilwood. My email and phone number are in my origional post if you want any additional information.

8/2/09 UPDATE:
Forcible Entry has approx 7 spots left. Safety and Survival has approx 15 spots left. Large Area Search canceled due to lack of interest.
If you were thinking of signing up do so ASAP. The HOT classes are really taking off and will hopefully be a part of firemens weekend for years to come. Anyone have ideas for topics they would like to see in the years to come?

8/20/09 UPDATE Forcible entry is full. Safety and Survival has a few spots left. If you are interested sign up ASAP before you miss out! I have seen some of the Camden County Fire Academy Safety and Survival Unit's work and you will not be disappointed with their class. They teach in memory of the 3 brothers that died in Gloucester City on July 4, 2002 in a collapse while trying to rescue trapped children. There are 7 people from Burlington County in the forcible entry class, hopefully just as many if not more will be in safety and survival as well. www.cmcfirechiefs.com for info.
