Forcible Entry Training
Our Forcible Entry training is flexible to your department’s needs. We offer both lecture-based training, and hands-on training. Depending on where you feel your members’ level of Forcible Entry knowledge and abilities are currently, we can begin with the “bare bones” basics or at a more advanced level. We will bring the props or use an acquired structure if available. Here are the specific topics we can offer…
• Forcible Entry tools – covers the names, uses, capabilities/limitations, etc. of tools. We can also assist your department with tool compliment specifications for new or existing apparatus including hand and power tools.
• Conventional Forcible Entry – covers the “brute force” method of Forcible Entry with the irons and hydraulic forcible entry tool (Rabbit tool). Your members will have the opportunity to force both inward and outward swinging doors. We can also provide the opportunity for your members to force doors in a smoke condition.
• Through-the-lock Forcible Entry – covers the “thinking Firefighter’s” method of forcible entry. We’ll cover the different types of locks that your members may encounter, how to overcome the lock cylinder and manipulate the lock mechanism. Depending on time, we can include techniques for defeating padlocks.
• Techniques for high-security devices – covers techniques for defeating padlocks, burglar bars, overhead/roll-up doors.
