Wow that sounds nice. I am wondering about how it works... and how durable it is.

I saw a news release on this a day or so ago; the air storage vessel is reportedly made of a high-tech mixture of carbon fiber/resin/kevlar which doesn't require the aluminum inner shell for support. From 30 lbs to 8 lbs? Bring it on!

Looks like quite an innovation. Much lighter and slimmer. I'm hoping the pictures were just prototypes as it seems to stick up pretty high above the shoulders. It would be less cumbersome if it sat lower on the back so it doesn't interfere with the helmet..etc (think crawling with your neck tilted up).
Either way its good to see somebody is thinking outside the box when it comes to SCBA.
