Like to see in 2008

Stealing alittle from another thread by Webboss. We mentioned what is coming at the local level in 08.

Lets open it up to the County Level. What would you like to see or improve within the County!!!!

Here are a few of mine.

1. There continues to be alot of he pissed me off so I am taking him off my grids this month happening. It has gotten better since 1510 has some say!! But, I would just like to see what is good and what is right for the people we serve no matter what it is or who it is!!!!!! To Be done. Stop the SandBox Mentality

2. Since I am a band aider, Make the local township ensure that there is proper coverage for the EMS no matter what method they decide. The state requires them to have police and fire its time for EMS too. and if the State will not require it maybe the County will!!!

3. EMS to get the respect we deserve. Nothing against the Police and Fire Guys. But our job is as dangerous if not more dangerous than both of yours. 1. Police you carry your weapon and a night stick and can see the criminal. 2. Fire you can see the smoke and the fire and have devises to fight the beast.

Now the EMS people treat people that have diseases that are undetectable by sight, smell or taste. And we only find out years down the road that we even had a fight with one of them and are on the losing end. So it is time to equal the pension and the pay for the EMS group its long over due.

I would like to hear better radio communications. Not going to mention names or departments, but everyone needs to learn how to talk on the radio. I can only imagine how Central must be when some of these people get on the radio. How hard is it to sign on and/or give a report?

I'd also like to see all people riding in officer's seats have the proper IMS that they need, meaning Level 1.

This is the whacker in me, but I'd like to see some Burlington County trucks at the Wildwood parade in September. It's the State convention and we are the biggest county in the state, yet this year we only had 1 truck (4314.) I know there are mixed feelings on parades, this is just my opinion though.

I'd love to see NJ stay off of the LODD list this year. We will never get away from LODD's as a whole, but this wish may not be so out of reach.

Definitely. I know I've messed up on the radio, I'll be the first to admit it. (Sean don't even think about it!) But Id rather mess up now when I'm getting my feet wet.

In regards to Wildwood, I agree. I'd love to see some of our own rigs in the parade.
