Worked for me. Excerpt below:
"The Presidential Lakes Fire & Rescue Squad is seeking Firefighters and EMT’s. Do you have what it takes to help provide the service to the residents? If so you could be eligible to win an All Inclusive Trip For 2. To learn more about this offer, stop by the Station or contact the Chief."
It's very interesting and a very unique recruitment offer. Definate "outside the box" thinking! And that's not a bad thing.
My only question is how are they getting around the STUPID 3 mile rule in the ordinance? If they are.....

Interesting idea, and definitely outside the box. I'll be curious to see how well it works. Personally it doesn't sit well and kind of rings a little cheesy but if it works, it works.
I did notice it doesn't include where the trip is to (unless its just not in your snippet).. Perhaps its an All Inclusive trip to m'Holly?

As for the 3 mile rule in the ordinance, it does not pertain to EMS. As for not being able to copy and paste, I'll work on that. When you look at a situation you some times need to look outside the box to find a solution and hopefully this will work in this case. The old "you do not know until you try it" train of thought. It can not hurt.
Try it you may like it!

Tom, Also if your able to put it in Flyer Format, that would probibly help. That way it can be posted. As of right now when I try to print the page it cuts out the right side.

As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing "chessy" or "outside of the box" enough if it means getting more members....my only thought (cause I'm cynical that way) is that some schmuck will join to win the trip, then quit after they get it (or don't). Sounds really off the wall, but truth be told, I've witnessed worse behavior in the past. Kudos to 1840 for trying...I sincerely hope it works!
The one motivation I think would really have an impact but stands little chance in this day and age of rising property taxes is to give legitimate volunteers a substantial rebate on their taxes...and legitimate means meeting minimum attendence percentages, not just appearing on a compnay active list.
