Now this surprised the s$#^ out of me when I read this on my other board I post on. Let me get everyones opinions on this before I post the whole shabang. Tell me what you see....and think...this incident occurred in NORTH Jersey....ordinary van right?...  |

All right, I'll put it now before I go to work... Elizabeth FD Ladder Co. was driving by on it's way back to quarters and saw the rear doors open, and saw what was in it and decided to investigate..  |

And what did they find? Oh not much...just a pump, and a 150 Gallon Saddle Diesel tank bolted to a piece of plywood, not mounted to the van itself... Im sure this would've been lovely in a rollover or rear end collision.. Good job by the Ladder Co. investigating...avoided a big mess. I'll post the whole story when I get home.  |

Most likely these guys are taking old heating oil out of tanks with a pneumatic pump than filling trucks or heaters. I know someone who has a rig like this in an old short school bus. He hasnt paid for oil to heat his home in three years. With $4 gas on the way this will be more common.
