i asked the salesman in wildwood...he said that they actually overlap and are also longer than traditional bourkes

These are ONLY NFPA Compliant when installed on the Ben II Plus, and only when they come factory installed!

yea I saw that on the site, but I was wondering how they meet NFPA compliance, maybe it's because of the longer thing like Chris said

I believe they are installed farther towards the edge of the brim on the Ben II's thus increasing the protection area?

After doing a little bit of research...
The Morning Pride "EZ-Flip NFPA Eyeshields" meet the INTENT of the NFPA curriculum, but have never been third-party tested to certify this claim.
There's a big difference there.
Any helmet-mounted eye protection is pretty much junk. Nothing does a better job the a good pair of safety glasses/goggle or your facepiece.
