We got a 68 cf mack engine that was completely stripped. It is still in good working condition but we are trying to get some stuff for it so we can eventually use it for bday parties and parades. If anyone has any parts or anything we could use lying around please let me know thanks!

Is this Maple Shade's old 68 Mack that Fieldsboro and Lebanon Lakes also ran by chance? Just curious.

If anyone has any parts or anything we could use lying around please let me know thanks! I can imagine that there may be a few sources for parts around this area, but there are only a limited number of Macks left in our county. I'll try to give you a few leads... Interstate Mack, Hagarstown Maryland - also known as ITE. They do a lot with Macks, as well as fire apparatus. For mechanical parts, or things related to the firefighting side of the rig, these guys are as close as you're going to get to experts of the Mack fire truck. If you are looking for parts in general to buy or trade, I would browse around this forum site: www.centralpafire.com . There are a TON of "Dog Houses" still in the Central PA area and in my past experiences, those guys usually go way out of their way to lend a hand and help hodge-podge Macks together to keep them going for years and years. As a last resort, through the NYC.gov website, you can send an email to the Fire Chief of FDNY and see if you can be given permission to access the FDNY scrap yard. Several years ago I went this route looking for parts for 903's Hahn and there was Mack parts as far as the eye could see. Hope this helps... or maybe someone else will have some more ideas to help you out. So who actually owns the Mack anyways? Is this a 171 project?

Happily to be a proud owner of a Class CF700 with a V8 Motor Sean ;D There is a reallly huge yard out in Pennsylvania a guy owns. He's got more Macks then you'd believe. We went out there for pump panel parts for our 81' From the Shade when we had it. He has enclosed, open cab, tillers, you name it. When my father gets home from work I'll ask where in PA it is. I know it's just outside Philly so not that big of a ride. -Keith
