Not being critical, but by looking at the pics, what was the entrapment? The driver or passenger could have been placed in a KED and pulled straight up onto a backboard and out the back of the Jeep. Again, I'm just going by the pics.

It was a door pop. Once the door was removed she was placed in a KED and brought out the driverside door. I think it was a lot easier to do this and provided less of a chance of somthing going wrong trying to pull the driver right up and then try and get them out the back of the jeep or between the roll bars.

There is an example of being medically trapped and not physically trapped. Pt. stable taking the extra time to make room and remove the Pt the most appropriate way.

Just another way of doing things...the vehicle could possibly have been moved instead of cutting the tree down...again no right or wrong way just another way...

Chad I agree with you you can't tell by the picture but the tree was only about 10ft and the top had already broken off that is why the decision was made to cut it down. But you are right it could have been moved if needed
