Originally dispatched as Route 38 and Midlantic Drive, incident took place further down the road in District 36. Two victims involved. The big dude in tan gear looks familiar........

Well I was waiting for this to come up. At least you got my good side. See what happens when you are right in front of the station when the pager goes off.
Chief 3101 and R3119 arrived to find 1 vehicle that had overturned, landed upright, with entrapment. Crews began stabilization and setting up tools as vehicle and patients were assessed. Patient in passenger seat was removed, the driver was trapped. The driver said his leg was broken and he thought it was his femur. Helicopter requested for driver. Unable to just pop the door due to positioning of it against the patient. Went in service with spreader and cutters to remove the door. Removed the b posts with the cutters and sawzall (sp?) and removed the roof to take the patient out the back of the car. E3112 and E3121 on location with manpower and a 1 3/4" handline. 361, 369, 319, 318, M35 also on location (not sure which units.) Good job done by all removing the victims in a timely and safe manner. Not sure the exact extrication time.

Wow, pretty good wreck. From what hp4l told me afterwards, all people involved did a hell of job. Nice work!

This is not an "official" time but my personal estimate: about 25 to 30 minutes. Took some "thinking outside the box" to make it happen right; kudos to 31201 and the crew....

Never heard any kind of official number Lurker, but apparently Newton's Law was still in effect...someone said that he turned onto 38 eastbound at Mount Laurel, then put the hammer down hard. At a point near the corporate park entrance he lost control, went airborne, flipped and rotated, then hit the stone wall and turned yet again, exposing the driver's side door.
I reminded a few of our members that things could always be worse...imagine taking this guy out if his door was up against the wall; with the wraparound seating and high console, it would have been a real female dog...

Imagine if he had landed on the roof. With no seatbelt on and the t-tops open, that could have been a mess.

What is the terminal velocity of stupid? Would have been the proper question then.

He also blew both back wheels off. The back left completly off. And the back right the rim and tire flew 20 feet and the wheel base was still hooked up to the car.
