I thought on the Dispatchers Corner would be a good place to ask this question. I am wanting to find out how the "P" channels relate to sides of the county like the fire channels. Like for instance I know that P-7 is for over here where I am along with the NE channels on Fire/EMS. I am trying to set up my scanner and my station's scanner by zone and want to have the police channels with the coresponding response channels.
Thanks Chris aka"Radioboy"

The capability is there, however there are no Southern police departments, just the NJSP and Rangers. If the Metropolis of Chatsworth ever started a municipal police department; I'm sure we'll have to open up a South/East police talkgroup.
I do know the provisions exist, they're just not in active use as of now.

Check with your dad, Tom, or one of the FOG team out there. The last I saw a picture was cleaning up out there when I first ran out in station. -- Sean (the other Sean)

The district number was assigned at least 20 years ago. Back when a Trunk system meant hard working elephants.
Even though a self-dispatch agency in the county has an assigned talk group they may continue to operate on their conventional frequency. There are a number of designated talk groups in the county that are set up for possible future use.

47 are the security units for Burlington County College. That is what I though just making sure. They still use the HT1000s however, they are possible looking to go digital so all campus can talk to each other including the satalites.

If they are using an HT1000 in the UHF-T band, it is possible for them to access the Ops and WAR channels.

I don't know exactly how it works for them however I do know that their radio system is unreliable and there are dead spots all over campus they you would like to switch to digital however according to the higher ups it is a lack of money issue.

I don't know about now, but before the truck system they were on p-6. I remember being able to pick them up on a scanner locally on that channel, just like the Sheriffs in the courthouse..
