It's nice to see someone gave us props... Thanks!

All I know is that I couldn't do what they do...being truthful, I'd screw everything up if I had to handle all that crap at the same time, and get it right 99% of the time. Someone elses job always looks easier...until you actually have to do it.

I would tend to agree that dispatchers don't normally get any props. Some get upset when they don't get much info from the dispatchers. You have to get it from the RP to give it. I always wanted to do it but never have been able to type fast enough.

I used to dispatch at a theme park for security, fire and ems. On a hot summer day I would get to expierence what you guys go through. Let me just say that I would like to give each and everyone of you a pat on the back for doing your jobs so greatly. From our angle as firemen, the job is easy. Go out, extricate, put a fireout, do our paperwork and we're done. To you guys its a whole different story. Without ya we'd be in deep water. Great Job!

Another aspect of the job that can go unappreciated is the assistance they can provide to an IC during a working job. The good ones can "see" the scene and anticipate what you're going to need and when. This can be a HUGE help depending on how well you're organized or if you're not.

my hat is off to our dispatchers not only for the great job they do but for the endless hours of entertainment they provide me driving around this county of ours every day
