So opening up that old topic! Does this change anyones thought on adding ALS to all companies inservice. Not for me this just supports my position with the use of this limited resource!!!

Well thats probally why the 1st word in MICU is mobile. The stay and play medthod of EMS is gone. The faster you get the pt to the hospital the better. Scoop and swoop is the best method in my opinion

I agree MOBILE Intensive care. Get them in the truck and go. If the medics don't get out oh well tell them once and go they will get the hint after you do this a few times. MOBILE!!!! is the key word.
Remember they work for us not us for them, it's your rig and you control it. Let them know that you are leaving and just go. What are they gonna do fire you!!

Lurker, Wow, you just made a few glorified medics cry!! The patient needs a surgeon not a medic!!!! All a medic can do for an internal bleed is make pink lemonade inside the body. The patient needs a Trauma surgeon not a medic. I am sure even most medics will agree with this one..
