Your BLS crew is on standby for a male high on PCP who is "Tight Rope Walking" between poles on the low voltage lines. When the following occurs. What types of injuries will you find? What care will you provide? What additional resources will you require?

SCENE SAFETY is priority number one. Make sure those wires are still up there and not dangling. Even if it is presumed safe, rapid extrication with as much care to keep C-Spine stabilization and rapidly move him to a safe area. Get ALS rolling if they aren't already en route.T hen begin treatment. Probably looking at cardiac arrest. Check ABC's and go from there. Transport patient ASAP to nearest Trauma facility and if need be rendezvous with ALS.

But the thing is your wrong....he lived! Amazing as it sounds!!! The drunk and High are usually those that survive....... Sad as that is,it's true. You get those drunk drivers that kill another driver/passenger of another car which they hit. They walk out with a cut or a bruise.
