Im sure most of us have had time to read the study completed on EMS in the state.
What do you think of it?
What is your current level of care in your town? Two EMTs? One EMT? Two First Responders?
If the State does dereg ALS will your town step up and provide ALS services or contract out?

I guess we'll have to see what happens. This state, as well as the county, are very political entities, and there is a bit of politics tired through the emergency services.
Ultimately, I would like to see the state first start off with regulating all of the BLS agencies across the board. Make every BLS unit operate under a standard set of rules and see how that goes. 2 EMT's on a well equipped ambulance all the time is a major step to improving service in our immediate area. In my home town, I'm lucky to get any EMT's... if I even get an ambulance before I tired of waiting and walk to the hospital.
On top of that, I would be looking forward to the deregulation of ALS in the state. Allow the now BLS providers to run Paramedic-Ambulances. This will drastically cut down on the time people have to wait for ALS care and increase the number of ALS capable units.
It just needs to be standardized across the board... no more OEMS for these guys over here then First Grade Council for those guys over there, then the rebel freelance squads left in the middle.
