Is anyone else out there having problems getting junk cars for extrication training? I have been trying for about a month to get some cars to cut up and none of my usual sources will give me any. I realize the reason there hard to get is the price of scrap metal is through the roof. If anyone has a connection please let a brother know. Thanks

I've had no problems getting cars, or having them brought to us/picked up after were done. We talked to the owner and he said he'd drop'em off, no charge either way. He was really surprised when I called him after our Extrication I class completed and asked if he could come get them. He initially thought we would keep them for scrap. But him being a scrap yard/junk yard I said "No, we thought you wanted'em back and wanted you to take'em anyway." He said "Hell, you guys do it this way I'll have no problem in the future bringing you guys to cut apart." Now we're 1 township away so, it was easy for me to get the vehicles. Next time (which is very soon) we will be cutting more cars, myself and another member will present the owner with a letter of appreciation along with a donation thanking him and his company for letting us cut his scrap up (Which makes it easier for him since everything is in pieces thanks to our lovely extrication tools ) PM me for more info.
