Florence Twp 3rd Alarm

August 2002, 310 Alden Ave.
Came in as a Dwelling with victims trapped. Negative on teh vics. They were sitting across the street on the railroad tracks smoking cigs. After 30 min searching for them was I pissed!

Started in the basement. Bldg was converted into 4 apartments. When converted, the main staircase was removed and boxed in, which basically was a chase for the fire to make its way to the attic.
It was 95 degrees at midnight when this was dispatched! ugh, what a long night!

Mt Holly, NJ - Burlington County. Firefighters were dispatched to 41 Bispham Street for a reported dwelling fire just after 2100Hrs this evening. First due Engine Company Engine 5012 reported they had a 3 story twin with fire showing on the bravo side and heavy smoke throughout. Next due Company, Squad 2723 assisted first in crews in attacking the fire. While crews were working on the interior knocking fire down, Ladder 5025 was opening up the roof. Within 20 Mins the fire had spread to the 3rd floor and was beginning to spread to attached dwelling on the delta side. Command CP50 requested and evacuation of all firefighters from interior firefighting to attack the fire from the exterior. Firefighters were hampered by poor water pressure in the location of the fire and were forced to lay several large diameter hose lays to attack the fire. While operating a firefighter was injured on Ladder 5025 and was transported to Virtua Memorial in unknown condition. It was also reported that one to two firefighters had also been transported to local hospitals. The fire was placed under control by CP50 at approx 2320Hrs.
