Hello everybody,
As many of you that already know me know; I am a fire and ems patch collector. I only have 7 patches from departments in Burlington County and would love to have a patch from every fire department and squad in the county eventually. I am calling in some mutual aid to everybody on the board, so if you can help me out, please let me know.
Thank you,
Jay Kormann District 25

Thank you, Jay Kormann District 25 Jay, Allow me to sniff around for a little bit but I'm sure that I can come up with a new, and maybe even an old style patch for the only SQUAD in Burlington County. AND... Rumor through the grapevine is that the SQUAD may have it's own patch coming soon... so I'll be sure to hook you up with one of them as soon as I see one. IN TRADE... Can you email me the Westampton and Beverly apparatus pics? I promise the only exploiting of these pics will be the walls of the firehouse in nice frames, and even a photo-credit tag. Thanks!

We're working on a new 292/298 patch. The new 292 patch HAS TO HAVE the Postal Service Eagle and coloring! If you could style that to LLVFC with something EMS and Rescue fitting in it, that would be perfect for the White/Red/Blue coloring you guys use!

The only thing I copied was the border. The rest was free-hand.

You guys can surely dress that up somehow... Gotta come up with something unique. You need a slogan too... Tie something in with the circle, the pines, and the nut-farm. Haha...nut-farm....speaking of that, LAST time one of'em tried to get into the back of 81 on a medical em. there...what fun that was... Im trying to get creative with the circle...I have our slogan but where to place it, i do not know, haha. Ha Ha Ha... "The KuKu Nest" Where's I strongly push people to be original, that would suit you guys well! Kramer does have a point. Using the Eagle directly off the USPS logo might be copyright infringment. I remember back in the day the power's to be at 302 had to get permission to use the work "Lite" in the Miller Lite design for the hood of 3028 the "Lite Goose." It's probably as simple as a phone call or an email to get permission, which is much easier then all the garbage you would have to go through if someone wanted to make an issue about it later on.

yeah, but it does involve the government and not a "beverage" company so it might be a little harder

yeah, but it does involve the government and not a "beverage" company so it might be a little harder Helping a brother learn a new thing everyday... The US Postal Service is not actaully a goverment entity. They're recognized as the "Primary Postal Service" for the country and they're subsidized as such, but they're just another company such as Fed-Ex and UPS. [glow=red,2,300]I love Wikipedia...[/glow] The United States Postal Service was created in Philadelphia under Benjamin Franklin on July 26, 1775 by decree of the Second Continental Congress. Based on the Postal Clause in Article One of the United States Constitution, empowering Congress "To establish post offices and post roads," it became the Post Office Department in 1792. It was part of the Presidential cabinet and the postmaster general was the last person in the United States presidential line of succession. In 1971, the department was reorganized as a quasi-independent agency of the federal government and acquired its present name. The postmaster general is no longer in the presidential line of succession The USPS is often mistaken for a government-owned corporation (e.g., Amtrak), but as noted above is legally defined as an "independent establishment of the executive branch of the Government of the United States," (39 U.S.C. § 201) as it is wholly owned by the government and controlled by the Presidential appointees and the Postmaster General. As a quasi-governmental agency, it has many special privileges, including sovereign immunity, eminent domain powers, powers to negotiate postal treaties with foreign nations, and an exclusive legal right to deliver first-class and third-class mail. Indeed, in 2004, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the USPS was not a government-owned corporation and therefore could not be sued under the Sherman Antitrust Act.[2]
