Can somebody explain to us the Palmyra/Riverton apparatus designators? I see Engine 9 and Engine 10 on 24's rigs, and 8015 is lettered as Ladder 4. What's the deal with that? I'm sure it's traditional, but can someone give us the scoop? Someone told me it means this. 8015 Ladder 4 mean it is the companys fourth actual ladder they have had that has been dubbed 8015. I do not know however if that is the same way for Riverton.

Numbers on the trucks signify the number of rigs the departmnet has had. IE. Engine 1 was the first and engine 10 was the tenth. However the current 2415 is the first to break this tradition in the 24th. Its doors read TRUCK 24 just like the ladder main. It is unknown if we will do something different when we get a new Engine, but for 24 Truck it just seemed right. Also this has absolutly nothing to do with Camden County.

Interesting... abit confusing to see, but very interesting. There's no substitute for 24 TRUCK though.

Speaking of Riverton, here's a few goodies. The past 24 Truck, the 1970 ALF as it was before the Pierce refurb in 1988, and 2412, the 1962 ALF. John Walters photos.

Here's one for 1710. I believe that this was 1712, but I don't know that for sure. Photo by John Walters.

Ok, I have been a little bit lazy the past week or so. Time to go back to what I do best... Here are two oldies from Willingboro: first is a 1963 Ford C/Hahn which was their first brand new apparatus. They received another one like it in 1964. The second rig pictured is a 1974 or so International 4x4. Both are John Walters photos.

Here's a pic I found on my computer from last summer I believe. It is L5015 (then 5025) and retired L2515 (former 7015) flying Old Glory. I don't know the specifics of the pic, I just think it looks nice. Unknown photographer

There were some real good pics from that fire, but none of anyone in a sling eating Wendy's. (That would be incriminating) I was sidelined by the squad because my blood pressure was high. The only reason my BP was high is because we just busted our asses for 15mins straight and finally had the fire darkening down... only to be told to evacuate because there was fire coming out of the roof after the hole was cut. Right over the old F3 I went "Duh Stupid Ass - We're the ones driving the fire that way!" Funny me, I thought that's what vent holes were for?!?!? No sling just got back from the doctor about the second operation and I was on my lunch break from the PD. Boy that was a fun day.

After a long break, here is something new from the archives. For the Beverly boyz, we have the old Ladder 1215. It was a 1967 Ford C/Bean with a 65 foot Grove ladder and a 750 GPM pump. I believe that this picture was taken by John Toomey.
