Command reported a 2 1/2 story garden style apartment with fire in the attic, used all hands to bring the fire under control. had potential to be something worse. sounded like a great job by everyone over the radio.

First report was from maintenance reporting fire through the roof. Next was the PD arriving on the scene reporting no fire showing but heavy smoke showing. Next was the first arriving engine reporting light smoke showing. They had very light smoke from the eve above one unit. From second-hand info, i got that it was a grease fire on the stove that was carried up the vent from the fan into the attic with minimal extension. I was there but don't know any specifics on the actual fire.

I was told by FM20 that it was an electrical fire that came from the fan.
