just picked up a pair of the chiba flame fighter gloves. has a long cuff that you can fold over for veehicle extriaction or firefighting. very comfortable. havent used them on a fire or rescue, but a friend did and said the worked really well. you can get them at the firestore.

I've had those gloves for a few months now. They are nice, they're comfortable, and you can actually use your fingers with them. They are also completely waterproof, which can be nice, just dont get water in them. They were also a little expensive for my taste, but a still a pretty good glove so far
